I'm a Canadian. our qualifications for landed immigrant status (legal immigration) are WAY higher than yours. We vet our chain migration applicants. THere's a long road to citizenship and it has to be earned in the process. What's not to like. Well I know that in America at least one segment of the Christian right do indeed believe in that so I would be very careful about believing in any way Christianity is better. Fundamentalism and fanaticism does not know any religion - it just helps the conscience of those who want to get up to barbarity. However on a very simple level. It does not always matter that much how you are going to be killed - droned or gassed or any of the various ways Christians agree with in their agreement of Capital punishment and now with drones killing people without trial. So which ever way you look at it I kind of think the old testament cancels out the new but yes, in the US you have some gross Christian Right.
