As economies develop, it is only natural that the industrial sector becomes a smaller portion of overall GDP. There is nothing that Trump can do that will bring these manufacturing jobs back (though, I don't hurt for him to try).

What you don't explain, however, is that the service sector is heavily reliant on trade, as more than 20 million workers in their economy owe their jobs to the U.S. exporting sector. Trump can improve the lifestlyles of families, not by bringing manufacturing jobs back, but by improving the balance of trade and the U.S. current account that would essentially make American exports more competitive.

All Trump needs to do is impliment policies that would encourage the U.S. to be a net exportor rather than a net importer, effectively increasing employment and the value of U.S. currency.

 

Do you really think the fight ends there?

And now, globalism moves those middle-class union jobs jobs overseas because of global competition in the labor market.

The MiddleClass was expanded due to the fact that US government had the GI Bill after WWII and that gave our returning WWII and Korean War vets the opportunity to get an education and qualify for middleclass jobs.
