"As human populations expand, more land is being converted to agriculture. So elephant habitat is shrinking and becoming more fragmented, and people and elephants are increasingly coming into contact - and conflict - with each other.

Elephants sometimes raid farmers’ fields and damage their crops – affecting the farmers’ livelihoods – and may even kill people. Elephants are sometimes killed in retaliation.

With human populations continuing to grow across their range, habitat loss and degradation - and conflict with communities - will remain major threats to elephants' survival."

Diversity is killing the planet and all the inhabitants on it. If corporations stopped taking over land and putting crops and animals on land for profit all would be better off in the long run.
Take McDonald's for instance, pushed millions of people out into the dry deserts to put millions of cattle in green pastures on millions of acres.
Remember the movie " I Had A Farm In Africa " they should have said, ' I paid off a dictator in Africa and got a farm for pennies on the dollar '.

In the long run, this will help protect and restore the herds, while also helping the economy of those African nations where the elephant herds reside.

Or to raise them in cages for slaughter to the delight of ivory tower dwellers. You know the kind...those real men.

Tell me how a elephant group that loses 30% of its members within 10 years can compensate the loss if its leading animals. Thebgroup is already under massive stress. The oldest animals teach and lead the younger ones. If the old ones are shot form their tusks, entire herds start to struggle and numbers collapse even more. As i said im aware of your educational system and dont blame you for your lack of knowledge.

I do agree with you on the vulgarity. But the only hunting that is good is hunting for food. except in cases like the invasion of pythons in S.Fl.. Or other species not on the endangered list who cause problems.

I'm as far from the left as you can get. Killing animals for fun is not being conservative or kind. No excuse no matter how you explain it. I can's stand Trumps kids or his inlaws, they are all liberals from hell imo. Too bad his wife doesn't have more power over him than his Soros connected liberal daughter.

Granted, successful hunts are extremely rewarding. But whether or not I've caught or killed something, I've always enjoyed hunting. The most exquisite being the ones that get away.

The Hunt is the reward. Becoming the predator takes you to a different place in the human psyche. Having said that,a guided hunt to shoot an elephant for a trophy sickens me. Having said that,it is really the only way to control confined elephant populations so what are you going to do. I know, maybe we could go shoot all the people moving into elephant habitat. Anyone like that idea better?

I think if it were a liberal who was killing these poor animals you'd have a different opinion.
I don't vote for any of them so I don't have a dog in this race.

Where does Germany relocate wolves too and what happens when these areas get too many wolves for that area to sustain?

We relocate them into fitting habitats. We have a female wolf here in a former military training center. Meanwhile in Saxony is a group of wolfes too big. So members of this group are catched and brought here.
