I'd go one better. The world through the United Nations should vote for a flotilla of warships to sail to the Florida coast close to Trumps golf course and threaten to blow it up. I liked Trump on most issues but this is grotesque.

Even China banned imports of Elephant products. So far USA is only country allowing it now.

In Climate things its same. Only USA and Syria did not sign the PAris climate program.

You are ridicilous naive. We talk about Zimbabwe and Sambia. So far all money went to Grace Mugabes shopping budget. The Elephant numbers collapsed by 30% in the last 10 years. What makes you think the new military dictator will push money into Elephant programs?

The hunt on Elephants is devasating. There are rarely any Elephants left with gigantic tusks. The evolutionary pressure favors animals with small tusks now, because the big ones get shot. Of course if you dont believe in evolution that doesnt matter for you as well.

I don't hunt any of them. Maybe you need to take your complaint to the agencies that are saying they need to thin the herd.

There are not a million hunters from america in Zimbabwe. What you do in your shithole is irrelevant for me.

My father is a hunter as well and so am i. But In Germany being a hunter is bound with responsibility, hard tests and exams. You are no hunters. You are what we call "funfair shooters".

Shooting rich degenerated american dentists in Zimbabwe could be fun i guess. After all they are pretty much defenseless. But also kinda boring then.

If thats the case, these hunts will have even less effect on elephant populations.

Guess you left school at 3rd grade.

A population in massive decline cant compensate the loss of leading animals. Not that you would know. All you know is MURICA, McDonalds and Disney World. I doubt you can spot Zimbabwe on a map.

    Good try though.

Locals are driving herds to the point of extinction. Locals are driving many species to the point of extinction.

That depends upon whom you're talking about. Poachers only want the ivory. Here's the way it generally works for legal hunting. The government gets the licensing fees and a piece of the concession fee. The safari company gets the trip fee, daily rate and a part of the trophy fee. If it's in a tribal area the people get the majority of the trophy fee which is considerable as well as part of the pre-paid concession fee. They also get the meat which BTW is really quite good. It works out well for everyone.

Killing them at all? Laughable. The game Departments are adept at counting numbers and will cull the excess especially tuskless ones. PAC animals get done because they become increasingly destructive as well as dangerous.
Jumbo hunting is hard physically, dangerous and takes a certain degree of skill involving the PH, the tracking crew as well as the client.
I could say that there's no rational reason for your hamburger except to brag how much you like it. Besides the cow never had a chance.

Except the elephants and possibly the ecosystem, of course.

What a pathetic attempt to cast a good thing in a bad light and distort the facts. It's a very limited lifting of the ban in time and location and part of an overall effort by a couple of countries in Africa to preserve their overall elephant population. Is this really the best Trump bash you could come up with today?

"The reversal will apply to elephants hunted in Zimbabwe from Jan. 21, 2016 to Dec. 31, 2018 and to elephants hunted in Zambia in 2016, 2017 and 2018 “for applications that meet all other applicable permitting requirements,”

I hunt for food not sport and the killing of an elephant for a trophy sickens me.

Beavis and Butthead like to shoot elephants and tigers, so Trump reversed Obama's ban on importing these trophy animals.

Trump just wants to undo whatever Obama did.

This is NOT like Ducks Unlimited.. The elephant population is already shrinking..

Trump will just be encouraging poachers.

Sadly these goons are necessary to control elephant numbers in areas where human population has pushed them out of their historical habitat. If you want to help elephants you should push for population control in Africa.
