Yet they did, and most if not all, state owning black people was the reason in their secession documents.

But it goes against your mantra about leftists/liberals holding blacks down. When it was conservatism.
And more recent was the redlining that basically cut them out of home ownership or even business ownership.
Now, I might be able to be convinced leftists had something to do with redlining. As that policy was in effect for a few decades.
But was likely a major factor in the conditions they are in today in inner cities.

Yes because slavery was the catalyst but it was not the cause. The secession documents universally name the violation of the constitution by the northern states and federal government as their cause for secession. To provide evidence of this claim they then reference slavery because like it or not slavery was part of the constitution.

But redlining is a farce. They weren't redlined because of government policy. They were denied loans and/or given higher rates not because they were black but simply because (just like today) black people had a few things going against them. They were more likely to have a poor credit rating than their white counterparts. They were less likely to have collateral for their loans. And they were far less likely to have the income to pay back the loan.

Now let me ask you, if you have two people in front of you and one of them has good credit, collateral and a good job and the other person well... doesn't. Are you going to give those people the same amount of money at the same interest rate?

I didn't say gov't policy. But there was a banking policy.
And it targeted blacks disproportionately, if not entirely.

In the 1960s, sociologist John McKnight coined the term "redlining" to describe the discriminatory practice of fencing off areas where banks would avoid investments based on community demographics.[8] During the heyday of redlining, the areas most frequently discriminated against were black inner city neighborhoods. For example, in Atlanta in the 1980s, a Pulitzer Prize-winning series of articles by investigative reporter Bill Dedman showed that banks would often lend to lower-income whites but not to middle-income or upper-income blacks.[9] The use of blacklists is a related mechanism also used by redliners to keep track of groups, areas, and people that the discriminating party feels should be denied business or aid or other transactions. In the academic literature, redlining falls under the broader category of credit rationing.

You want to try and point to a reason for disproportionate crime rates, here would be a great starting point.
Not just because the color is black.

    What is mischaracterized?
tRUMP is using the prez platform to issue threats to fellow Americans. You read the quote.

How about real America is upset that the RW is constantly lying and chose the biggest liar in chief in the history of the USA? Including the threats coming out of the oval office. The rise of white nationalism which is corresponding to a rise in RW terrorism.

    Those are real.
It is also real that we have more equality than we had 60 yrs ago.

No imagination needed. The words were stated and written.

I can tell you I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump – I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough — until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad.

Why must world leader denounce the attack?
Are the people of the world so unfamiliar with their leaders?
I think it better to care for the affected and ignore the nutcase. He did all of it for the attention.
    Don't give him any.
