I gather that you did not read post #39
The major good that Obama did for our country was to extract us from the worst recession since the great depression and get our economy back on track.

Well sir, it was Bush who bailed out the banks, you can't have a recovery if people can't borrow. Bush also started the bailout of GM and Chrysler in his final weeks in office.Obama carried it on from there. Obama spent about 9 trillion dollars trying to recover from the housing fiasco. What kind of jobs did he help create? It wasn't in fixing our infrastructure. Those one million shovel ready jobs he said he had waiting for him to be elected never existed. The big solar plant he gave over a hundred million for went bankrupt months later, as their panels were obsolete before their plant was done. He funded park seedings, bike and dune buggy trails, turtle crossings, the arts, etc. He spent billions bringing back teachers and police, only to get them laid off again when the money ran out. Here is what they said about Obama's recovery.

    • How good were the 10.9 million jobs under Obama?
      Money.CNN.com/2016/11/04/news/economy/jobs-under-obama/...
Nov 03, 2016 · CNNMoney breaks down what kinds of jobs have been created and ... Almost all of the job gains under President Obama have been in so-called service jobs,

The deep recession wiped out primarily high-wage and middle-wage jobs. Yet the strongest employment growth during the sluggish recovery has been in low-wage work, at places like strip malls and fast-food restaurants.

In essence, the poor economy has replaced good jobs with bad ones. That is the conclusion of a new report from the National Employment Law Project, a research and advocacy group, analyzing employment trends four years into the recovery.

“Fast food is driving the bulk of the job growth at the low end — the job gains there are absolutely phenomenal,” said Michael Evangelist, the report’s author. “If this is the reality — if these jobs are here to stay and are going to be making up a considerable part of the economy — the question is, how do we make them better?”

The report shows that total employment has finally surpassed its pre-recession level. “The good news is we’re back to zero,” Mr. Evangelist said.

But job losses and gains have been skewed. Higher-wage industries — like accounting and legal work — shed 3.6 million positions during the recession and have added only 2.6 million positions during the recovery. But lower-wage industries lost two million jobs, then added 3.8 million.

You think that Trump loses net worth? He bragged on National TV when he gave his speech to the UN that he is worth 10 billion dollars.
When he was campaigning he bragged that he was worth 3 billion dollars. If you believe him, he had a financial windfall of 7 billion dollars in a year and a half. Loses, eh?
Obama did not profit while at the Whitehouse and paid for his own vacations, which is more than you can say for your favorite con-man, who takes 3.6 billion dollar trips every weekend to Mara Largo on taxpayer dollars. It is a good thing that Obama is now having a windfall. Do you begrudge him? By the way, he gives a sizable chunk to Chicago's undercarriage. Trump, on the other hand, had his "charity" shut down due to fraud. It seems that he was dipping into it, kind of like a piggy bank.

Now your concerned Democrats didn't help one bit. While Obama was trying to find jobs, the two biggest Blue states were having their bridges and roads built by the Chinese and using Chinese steel to boot.

No ... Obama as New POTUS never missed an Opportunity to
blame his predecessor Bush 43 for driving the Economy into the ditch.
Yer basic, boring average democrat garden variety LIE.
Then as one of Obama's first acts as Monster President was to
create hisself as the Only Car Czar ever in The United States.
Going so far as to steal away from GM Car Dealerships ,those
Dealerships which have been around for decades. He willy-nilly
made sure that democrat-inclined voters were given those old
dealerships.Obama had stolen them in plain view.
Plus GM bond holders GMAC had to settle for 20 cents on the dollar.

    77 percent of 2013 jobs were part-time positions ...
    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/aug/2/part-timer-nation...
Aug 02, 2013 · Fully 77 percent of positions added to the market in 2013 have been part-time, in contrast to the positive economic news making the media rounds, according to payroll reports released in recent weeks.

"There are now 1.2 million fewer jobs in mid- and higher-wage industries than there were before the Great Recession, according to data from the National Employment Law Project. In contrast, there are 2.3 million more jobs in lower-wage sectors than before the recession," according to CNBC. Nor is there the hoped-for renaissance in American manufacturing. We have some 300,000 fewer manufacturing jobs since President Barack Obama took office and 1.5 million jobs below the pre-recession level.

Jobs are jobs, pal, and the recovery was slow and steady. Many Americans are not educated enough to fill the higher-end jobs and they still aren't. Bush did not start any bailout of the auto industry and Obama bailed out the banks, spent us out of the recession, and that is a fact. Give credit where credit is due. Bush was mostly responsible for the great recession due to the sub-prime loan fiasco, and Barney Frank was no help.

Sure had a funny,un-American way of finding jobs.By making sure
to offer the Food Stamp program out like candy on Halloween.
Then created another Unamerican way of determining the U6 Unemployment rate.
Also helped with Democrat willing lawyers to make Disability Eligibility

stay low { a 50 year low }.A Low Labor Participation Rate helps to keep

That's what gets me. You Democrats haven't the slightest idea of what he has done. Can you name me just two good things he has done? I'm sure you can't because MSNBC, CNN, NBC etc. won't tell you. Here is what he has done in just the last month or so.

To say he doesn't care about anyone is a complete falsehood. He has done more for the American people than the last three Presidents. You just can't get honest reporting from the bias media. Does this sound like he doesn't care about anyone? Do you know just in the last month or so he passed a bill allowing the terminally ill to try experimental drugs, not yet approved for sale to give people a chance to live, or at least extend their life? He has signed a prison reform act to give convicts a chance for a new lease on life. He launched the Urban Council Act that will invest 100 billion in Black communities to fix them up and bring in business and jobs to their communities? Ended Catch and Release. Now how can you keep saying he doesn't care about anyone but himself? Now I bet you never heard of any of this on MSNBC or CNN have you?

Blue-collar jobs are growing at their fastest rate in more than 30 years, helping fuel a hiring boom in many small towns and rural areas that are strong supporters of President Trump ahead of November's mid-term elections.

Jobs in goods-producing industries — mining, construction, and manufacturing — grew 3.3 percent in the year preceding July, the best rate since 1984, according to a Washington Post analysis.

Blue collar jobs, long a small and shrinking part of the U.S. Economy, are now growing at a faster clip than those in America's much larger service economy. Many factors collided to produce the blue collar boom. Some are tied to short-term boom-and-bust cycles, but others may endure. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/msn/under-trump-the-jobs-boom-has-finally-

”Donald Trump's grandmother Elizabeth Christ Trump and father Fred Trumpfounded the organization in 1923 as E. Trump & Son”... so something else he has inherited...

I’m not saying he hasn’t been successful but reading through a listing of companies on quartz and investopedia it seems a vast majority seem to be management companies set up as a LLC. I can go set up an LLC for $20.00. If that’s the bar for success then ok. Futhermore how many of those are shell companies to funnel money?

It also seems that the larger companies he owns are the ones that have filed bankruptcy. He even lost control of his name due to it at one point. A percentage of companies is a bad way to measure his success and doing so in dollars is difficult. If he bankrupted a billion dollar company but have 9 more valued a a few grand each — you could say he has a 90% success rate, it’s “technically” true but disingenuous.

Again, you confuse the rich that give their children money vs the super rich that give their children wealth.

Thats the first thing any financial advisor would suggest is a diversified portfolio... Doesn’t make him a pioneer...

I’m not discussing lotto winners so the rest of your posts about them will be ignored.

Well sir, since Trump has been in office, his policies has created the lowest unemployment in recorded history for Blacks, Hispanics and Chinese and a 50 year low for women. We now have better paying jobs than people to work them. They are no longer saying America has to depend on service and part time jobs as the future.

The Trump Manufacturing Jobs Boom: 10 Times Obama's Over 21 Months

The Great Recession officially ended in June 2009, six months into former President Obama’s first term. The economy continued to shed jobs until the following March. Manufacturing was particularly hard hit, with almost 2.3 million manufacturing jobs—some 1 in 6—lost between January 2008 and March 2010.

As is the case during recoveries, jobs bounced back, with seasonally adjusted nonfarm employment expanding almost 12% from March 2010 until January 2017, when President Obama handed over the presidency to Donald Trump.

But during the same period, manufacturing employment grew only 7.7% with manufacturing payrolls virtually flat in the last 21 months of the Obama administration.

We were told it was the new normal.

At a town hall in June 2016, President Obama famously said that some manufacturing jobs “are just not going to come back.” He went on to mock then-candidate Trump by saying he’d need a “magic wand” to make good on this manufacturing job promises.

Months later, as the shock of a President-elect Donald Trump was still being absorbed, New York Times columnist and economist Paul Krugman tweeted on November 25, 2016, “Nothing policy can do will bring back those lost jobs. The service sector is the future of work; but nobody wants to hear it.”

That wasn’t my question, reread it s-l-o-w-l-y.

I’m not saying he hasn’t done anything, he’s done a few things that I agree with very passionately. But that still shouldn’t make him exempt from scrutiny.

I’m not a Democrat and don’t get news from MSNBC or CNN but thanks for the failed fortune reading I guess...

As for me “focusing” on what he did before he became president, follow the conversation between @spiritgide and you will see I did not bring up his history — I was confronted with it as as counter to trumps many lies. It’s strange how you cry I need to focus on what he is doing when I was just participating in conversation that you jumped in the middle of.

Btw it’s absurd to give him credit for every company expansion.
You can of course, but it makes you look like a partisian hack.

Those companies were leaving. The economist had given up on America ever becoming a manufacturing nation again. But as I have showed, they are coming back and it's the tax and regulation cuts that has done it. Obama put on record regulations on and we had the highest corporate tax in the whole industrial world. All that did was chase them away. Now it's profitable for many of them to move back and to build here. That wouldn't have happened under Obama's policies. He had over 90% service jobs created under his policies and millions of them were part time.
