Who says I have to or should vote at all? What is this, a dictatorship of the voting booth?

Nobody is saying you have to that I'm aware of. I certainly didn't tell you that you need to vote. Of course, most responsible people vote during every election.

If you decide not to participate in the system, that is your choice. I don't care either way. However, only a fool would refuse to participate in the political process then complain about whoever gets elected, what ballot measures pass or what direction the politicians take the country.

I don't know what you mean by a dictatorship at the voting booth. You might want to actually look up the definition of the word dictatorship before you try to use it in a sentence again.

What have I achieved? I was poor poor, I DECIDED, not to stay that way. I determined to become rich, along the way I decided that achieving financial freedom was more important than becoming rich, but I achieved both. And the "monolithic ruling class" is a myth to assuage the egos of the lazy and/or inept.

And a bare handed duel clearly points up the gross immaturity and disassociation with reality of Paulobots. This is not your childish fantasy, this is real life. Why not choose to be part of it?

The GOP and Democrat Parties will hopefully be gone by then and replaced by a strong Libertarian party and a strong Conservative party. Progressivism, both red and blue need to go.

And here is the REAL update on Ron Paul. Today he QUIT, just as he has done every time in the past. Just as I have predicted he would. But in quitting, he doesn't even have the balls to tell his naive supporters he QUIT.

He says he just not going to campaign anymore nor spend any more money. Little boys and girls, that is quitting.

There will still be a great deal of campaigning going on because, unlike Mitt who has to pay for everything he wants done, Ron Paul has people who will volunteer because they care about their about their future and the future of their children. Little boys and girls believe in the tooth fairy. You never stopped believing in magical faires, you just transferred your faith into the ability of your government masters to provide for you and keep you secure from bogeymen. Some of us grew up and realized the truth of power. Today, many are realizing it at a much younger age, which is why they hearken to Ron Paul and not one of the puppets whose feet you would kneel at in hopes of receiving a crumb from their table and a pat on the head for not violating one of their millions of rules.

Ding, Ding, Paul QUIT! More reality that you CANNOT deal with. He 's gone, finis. And there are NOT "many" that harken to Paul. The incredible, young, naive and stupid vote is split between b.o. and Paul with about 60/40 in b.o.'s favor. But the young, naive, and stupid vote is nowhere near equal to their percentage of the population. It's more like 70% of the young, naive, and stupid vote,,,,,,,DOESN'T vote, nor know what is happening in politics. And obama has 60% of the remainder while Paul has 40% of the remainder. That is not "MANY." 40% of 30% is 12%, and Paul DOES NOT have 12% of the vote, all in.

In any case, PAUL QUIT. He just told you to go get bent, and you are so lost in make-believe, you didn't hear him. He said, "Thanks but NO thanks, I'm outta here!"

And the reality challenged,,,,remain reality challenged.

I mean politically  What has your "realism" and "pragmatism" accomplished politically? Has it changed hearts and minds to actually care about human liberty? Has it influenced the zeitgeist of the next generation? Has it even gotten a single bill passed or blocked that would not have been the case otherwise? No.

There has never been a society that has not had a minority ruling clique controlling everyone else. You are the most naive realist on the face of the Earth.

It is only you who think or ever thought that this particular election was the be-all and end-all. If you actually read the OP, you'd see that this is about the future of our society. WE are the ones changing things because we are the ones changing hearts and minds, while you're prattling about realism like a house Negro. Pulling a lever doesn't change anything; it's a meaningless ritual you perform every four years. Only ideas, ideals, and values matters, especially in the minds of the young.

That is why Ron Paul has already had more influence that Mitt Romney and Barack Obama put together will ever have. Nothing they've ever done or will ever do makes any difference because all they've done is continue the status quo, which Hillary, McCain, Gingrich, and anyone else would have done in their place equally well. Only Ron Paul has made an actual change. Only Ron Paul has affected the direction from what it would have been otherwise. That is why, despite his ending his campaign, you are STILL here on the Ron Paul thread.

We are an antichrist nation, obsessed with the acquisition of wealth, power, and fame. We are shallow, self-absorbed, and mewling. Is it any wonder we get the politicians we deserve?

Paul has had no influence, none whatsoever, on the intelligent. And not that much on the crippled naive. Paul's political career can be assessed in a word. INEFFECTIVE.

Paul did you dirty and left you lying in the dirt and you're sitting here trying to tell us and yourself you enjoyed being violated.

The only influence Paul has had is on a very small, less than 10%, of the very naive that live in a make believe world. Anybody that believed in him in any of his multiple runs for president have been sorely disappointed. And yet you try to defend him showing your total and sad gullibility.

You voice unlearned opinions about b.o. and Romney and idolize the man that never was and never will be. Hilarious and delusional.

Still repeating the same-old stuff. We're in a battle of ideas that will continue for generations, and your only focus and interest is who will win the next election. How small and sad.

No we are NOT in a battle of ideas. I agree with some of what Paul says, but he is clearly the most wrong person to say them. Its not the ideas, its that he doesn't know how to make anything HAPPEN.

And some Paul ideas are totally UNAMERICAN. The public VOTES, that is Democracy. Paul intentionally wants to circumvent the Democratic voting process by flooding state conventions with supporters. Those supporters are a miniscule joke when the election votes are counted, but when they show at a state convention, they are a large percentage. The PEOPLE spoke at the voting booth. Paul and his unAmerican supporters want to silence the voice of the people by attempting to sneak in the back door. That's Hitlerish or Stalinish and you sing the praises of it.

And in spite of unAmerican subversive actions, he will still lose.

Paul has received 1,554,822 votes out of 14,011,471 cast.

That's FOURTH in a TWO man race and 11.09% of the votes.

Paulobots praise Paul's adherance to the Constitution and support underhanded slimy tricks to circumvent the election.

    Young, naive, stupid, and DISHONORABLE.

You might as well vote for obama since integrity is not part of the Paulobots lexicon.

Yes, we are in a battle of ideas. You can't implement ideas until you get enough people to believe in them. Ron Paul has been more successful in spreading the ideas of libertarianism and non-aggression than perhaps any other person in the past hundred years.

 I feel like I'm listening to the opinions of a walking, talking government school social studies textbook. Of course, Ron Paul supporters have followed the rules of the party in choosing delegates; they do so by showing up while worshipers of the status quo only show up to perform the empty sacrament of the voting booth. Parties are private entities with no status under the Constitution; they can choose their leaders by a three-man oligarchy if they want.

Given that the American public keeps voting for child-slaughterers, why isn't the American public in prison for war crimes?

I might as well, since he'd do the same things Romney would. But I feel it would be more productive for me to stay at home twiddling my fingers, while you perform your empty sacrament.

Growing up is going to be an unmanageable shock to your system.

Paul hasn't done crap. He's has NEVER passed an important piece of legislation, NOT ONE in 3 decades of sitting on his ass. And he has amassed about 5% of the population willing to listen to his mixed and garbled message. You need considerable educatation to figure out what success is and is not. Paul falls in the IS NOT category.

And he has again, as always, QUIT, and left his supporters in limbo. Ask yourself this. Paul had the young behind him 30 years ago. Now those "supporters" are 30 years older AND NO LONGER SUPPORT PAUL. Did they lose the faith or did they get a taste of reality and realize that Paul is BS for Paul and nothing but BS for Paul? Paul just feeds his ego on the stupidity of the naive.

3 decades of nothing but foul smelling hot air.,,,,,,,,,Paul's autobiography and he won't pay me a cent for writing it for him. Too succinct.

Let's review. Paul wants to return to the Constitution by CHEATING the primary process. And I should be embarrassed?

In 3 decades of bull(*)(*)(*)(*)ting the incredible stupid, Paul has never got even one important bill passed. And I should be embarrassed?

All that Paul has accomplished in Congress is a couple of "PORK" bills for his home district. And I should be embarrassed?

Paul ran in 88 and QUIT. And I should be embarrassed?

Paul ran in 2008 and QUIT. And I should be embarrassed?

Paul ran in 2012 and QUIT. And I should be embarrassed?

In his BEST year, Paul has 8.7% of the delegates. And I should be embarrassed?

In his BEST year, Paul has 11% of the vote. And I should be embarrassed?

I'm not the one supporting a bonifide, guaranteed, proven, do nothing ever Congressman. And I should be embarrassed?

When reality falls on your head, you'll wonder how you could be so naive.
