Chicken Little also believed it was true. The truth is that politicians work to gain/maintain power. Every word/action is for that purpose regardless of the letter by their name. I wish this was about opposing government power.

    Not talking about fairy tales.

    Reality, remember?

You are showing your cynicism again (highlighted is a meaningless sentence), Doofen

What is the point of opposing government power?

There will always be governments. It's not about opposing governments, it's about who is controlling governments.

That is where we can do something about it.

In all the repub election districts across the land, repubs are replacing experienced election officials with less experienced ( if at all ) repub operatives who believe in the 'Big Lie'.

And why are they doing this? Because the rail that protected Trump from stealing the election which existed in 2020 will no longer exist in 2022 and 2024. That is the scheme that republicans are doing now.

Don't lecture us on fascism, republicans are engaged into it district by district.

Democracy has been in trouble ever since democrats killed Kennedy, and thereafter infiltrated and infected America's system of public dis-education with the thought-cancer called progressive/liberalism.

they are just trying to preserve the health on the nation. I'm not supporting threatening job less, but that's no definition of fascism.

    However....

In all or many of the repub election districts across the land, repubs are replacing experienced election officials with less experienced ( if at all ) repub operatives who believe in the 'Big Lie' conspiracy theory.

And why are they doing this? Because the rail that protected Trump from stealing the election which existed in 2020 will no longer exist in 2022 and 2024. That is the scheme that republicans are doing now.

This is what fascism really looks like.

Well, educate yourself on what republicans are doing.

    I repeat:

In all the repub election districts across the land, repubs are replacing experienced election officials with less experienced ( if at all ) repub operatives who believe in the 'Big Lie'.

And why are they doing this? Because the rail that protected Trump from stealing the election which existed in 2020 will no longer exist in 2022 and 2024. That is the scheme that republicans are doing now.

That's just bullying people to get vaccinated because there is a national health existential threat.

That's not fascism, this is creeping fascism:

In all the repub election districts across the land, repubs are replacing experienced election officials with less experienced ( if at all ) repub operatives who believe in the 'Big Lie'.

And why are they doing this? Because the rail that protected Trump from stealing the election which existed in 2020 will no longer exist in 2022 and 2024. That is the scheme that republicans are doing now.

    "creeping fascism".

You can disagree, but you've made no effort to counter their detailed and well reasoned arguments.

    Therefore:

Vacuous rebuttal: an empty claim that something is not correct is not a valid counter argument.

There is. Many of us are quite concerned over limiting the ability of an outgoing prez to corrupt the DoJ (and state election officials) in an attempt to overturn a presidential election in order to maintain power.

My longstanding concerns about the health of American democracy were, unsurprisingly, deepened by four years of the Trump administration. But the alarm bells began to ring even more loudly, more insistently, in the aftermath of the 2020 election: not only did a former president refuse to accept the outcome of an election but he and his allies actively tried to subvert the process of certifying the election results at the state level and again in Congress.

Of equal (or greater) concern, a majority of Republicans continue to support the former president and to accept the patent falsehoods that he disseminates. In states that Republicans control, they are adopting measures to make it more difficult to vote and to undemocratically enhance their own power through gerrymanders; they are also seeking to delegitimize and intimidate those state and local officials who serve as umpires in elections (think Brad Raffensberger), and to permit partisan legislatures to overturn electoral outcomes. They are, in effect, trying to dismantle the very guardrails that prevented the 2020 election from descending into chaos. These are not routine procedural changes.

This is amazing after this same corrupt media told us that 2020 was the most secure election in American history. Thank God that according to the latest polls, 66% of Americans don't believe a damn thing the MSM pukes out. Everybody understands that the Democrats want to federalize elections so they can cheat on a national level and not just on a local level as they did in the last election. It is amazing to me that the progressives portray themselves as oppressed outsiders when they have every single lever of power in America, from the court system to corporations to the MSM to the University to the public schools to Silicon Valley to the military to Hollywood. The amount of self delusion on the left is sufficient to fill the Grand Canyon.

Well, you have Trump, before the first ballot is cast, saying, 'the press is the enemy of the people' and 'the only way democrats can win is if they rig the election'.

With all the blizzards of lies from Trump and his co-conspirators, it's no wonder.

Don't thank God for that, thank the devil.

I hate to tell you this, but the only thing between tyranny and you, are not your guns, it is the vital, vigorous, free press.

Thank God for MSM, whether your like them or not. MSM took down a corrupt president, MSM is pushing back on Trump, who represents a threat to National Security and is the leading advocate of creeping fascism in America.

Not a strawman at all. You assert that well reasoned positions held by Harvard professors is 'propaganda' , persons I picked because if anyone's opinions, whether or not one agrees with them or not, should be given some respect, it would be them.

But no, to you, they are propagandists. If you can't respect them, you can't respect anyone on the left ( except, perhaps conservative dems, but they are right of center ).

So what does that leave? Only right wingers.

Hence my rebuttal it 100% correct.

Don't submit opinion as though it were fact. Voter fraud is not fascism. It is simply a crime.
