You said, "but people who have not stopped their mental growth with only
a 5th grade or high school education." This was in the context that statistics show more college graduates voted against Trump. Now, I have a few degrees from accredited institutions, but I am pretty sure that most high school graduates could figure out that you are inferring those without higher education stopped their mental growth at either 12 or 18 years of age.

Simply put, these statements drive blue collar voters to Trump and away from you, and with good reason. You are plainly stating that there is no reason to listen to their concerns or proposed solutions.

Again, these statements are ignorant, period. Considering they do not benefit your purported cause, anti-trump, they could also be described as not well thought out which is ironic.

The stark contrast between the moral rectitude of conservatism and the depraved stench of Trumpery underlies the bifurcation of the GOP, and the inevitable triumph of principle augurs the fumigation of the Party and the restoration of decency.

The National Review's conservative Rich Lowry clarifies the nation's and the Republican Party's plight:

The Trump flock's solution to everything is to follow Trump, and are unable to see the big picture. Socialization is as important as an intellectual education. Then there are those who are Republicans for better or for worse and if Trump calls himself a Republican, so be it.
You, my friend, need to do some research into Trump's past and also check out
the swamp that he brought on board. It is a turn-off.

While true conservatives have difficulty with a few of Trump's actions and policies, very few will abandon him because very few live in a world of myths.

No, "myths" are nor the reason conservatives will take back the Party from the moral degeneracy of Trumpery.

Lyin' Donny is morally repulsive, especially to better-educated Republican suburban women, and that is where the Party's delousing will commence.

In the long run, blindly surrendering to Trumpery is a loser for the GOP.

Putin's pick to further Russia's agenda has added "child abuser" to his toxic resumé, and is antithetical to Republican decency as well as to patriotism.

Your examples projected into massive numbers sound a lot like the thinking in October 2016.

The above sounds like something the 'Russians' would PAY to have propagated in a forum such as this. :(

The President is an unapologetic racist; that's pretty damned close to the 'devil' if you ask me.

Apparently, there are true conservatives who are not groveling before the messiah, and that has him very, very pissy!

He indeed a puppet for his flock, because he formulates policies for their approval only and without that group, he is dead in the water.

As a conservative, I am wondering the same thing.

Grass root Republicans are quite disappointed in Trump. He and GOP lawmakers have gone liberal. Trump's base largely consists of liberals. They favor protective tariffs. Of course, Trump was a New York Democrat long before he became a Republican. Trump didn't want to be in the same party as Obama.

Trump continues to brag about the economy he has no control over, and has done nothing to stimulate the economy. The only stimulate legislation was the tax bill written entirely by the Republican Congress. All he did was sign it.

However, Trump is doing his level best to harm the American economy and this where Trump and grass roots Republicans part company. Trump and Republicans in Congress have gone to the dark side.

Republicans believe in free trade. Protective tariffs are a liberal concept and the antithesis of free trade. The $12B bailout to farmers caused by Trump's trade wars which resulted from his protective tariffs strikes horror in the hearts of true Republicans. Republicans in Congress express their regrets, but do absolutely nothing about it. They fawn over Trump and provide excuses as to why they don't do anything. This does not sit well with true Republicans observing all this from their den or living room.

A southern Republican congressman appeared on Fox today and bemoaned the fact that many of his constituents are being hurt by Trump's tariffs. He mentioned car manufacturing. Then he expressed support for Trump's tariffs saying that in the long run Trump's tariffs will somehow result in free trade. That, of course, is an oxymoron.

It is a tall order for two reasons. First, Trump discourages negotiation of trade agreements by using tariffs as a weapon, not a bargaining tool and he has poor negotiation talents. Which is why, two, Trump has not signed one trade agreement in the 18 months he has been President.

So, when the Republican congressman is asking his constituents to be patient, he is asking a lot. Basically, like all other Republicans in Congress, they are ignoring their constituents at home because they approve the liberal concept and are afraid to confront Trump.

Why that is true is a mystery. Trump is the least popular President in American history at this stage of a his Presidency.

It is no wonder grass roots Republicans are losing faith in their party. Their party left them, not the other way around.

Neither liberals nor conservatives recognize Trump as one of their own. If Trumpery demands as ideological label, it is "authoritarian anarchism" which may explain his fanatical following by neo-nazis and other such extremists.

Their devotion is emotional, not cerebral. That is why his copious, self-serving lies are celebrated by his fanatical bum kissers.

A dictator in waiting is how I would describe Trump.
