It depends on the group.

OKCupid did some research on this. Apparently, most women on that site preferred white males. Most men preferred Asian females. There were a few exceptions to this, however. Black women preferred black males, and Asian men preferred Middle Eastern females.

It is not "reverse racism." Racism is attributing negative characteristics to people because of their race. When a white person does not hire a black person because he thinks they are lazy or whatever, that is racism.

Affirmative action is discrimination, but it is not racist. The black person is not hired over the white on the grounds of negative attributes of the white person, but to redress the effects of racism in society.

You didn't address the second part of my question. "And what do you propose to address the effects of racism, past and present, in this country?" Just saying "SOMETHING ELSE" isn't a solution.

Since many thousands of women had recently gained equality and had the right to vote now, we sent them off to war also.

We, the Patriotic English speaking People of USA, were proud to have contributed to helping the British and French, whom we had earlier in history, driven out from our American continent. To show our allegiance, we signed the Treaty of Versaille placing all blame on Germany for starting the Great War, and thus guaranteeing that a future dictator would inevitably arise because of the injustice of the enormous burden of reparations placed upon just one country.

We, the now 70% white English speaking People of the USA, integrating with 12% African and 18% Others, have sought to create a more perfect Union of E Plurbus Unum since 1968, only to be thwarted at the last, in 2014 by an invasion of peoples from all over the world, crossing our unprotected borders. Since the 2 Tallest towers in USA History were destroyed by illegal aliens hijacking airplanes, We the Varied Peoples of USA must resolve to control our borders, and determine which of the various Group(s) of Us are the real enemy, and if necessary, use our multiracial, non gender biased, non sexual biased, Military Industrial Complex Military to guard our great nation against the unknown enemy.

You're mischaracterizing Affirmative Action. Affirmative Action is not one specific program and is not equivalent to discriminating against white people. An Affirmative Action plan involves multiple programs and policies designed to eliminate discrimination and correct the effects of past discrimination. There are multiple ways to do this, some good some bad.

Addressing underrepresentation of minorities by expanding recruitment programs at Historically Black Colleges and Women's Colleges. Advertising job opportunities in local newspapers with high minority readership. Developing relationships with minority focused professional organizations and recruitment firms. How do these affirmative action programs discriminate against whie males?

The "melting pot" idea is related to multiculturalism. That we can somehow take all of the world's cultures, blend them together using a Progressive model blender, and come out with some wonderful new culture that has all the strengths and none of the weaknesses of the individual piece parts.
