    This is by far the most dangerous and odious argument, and is ALWAYS made to excuse censorship of the New Public Square by those who control it & are entwined with the government.

    They have an obligation to refrain from censorship.

    And I think this US view is categorically wrong ...
    If someone abuses a constitutional right to fight and abolish the constitution which gives him this right ... then this person forfeits his rights and has to make himself legally punishable by any human logic!

    No, banning them does not infringe upon any rights. The freedom of speech is talking about government limitations, not business limitations.

    No, they don't. This is where the right looses me. You want everything "privatized", but then when it disagrees with you or your ideology, you try to use the government to change that.

    The constitution gives the right to free speech in the public square, but not in the private square unless you own that private square

    There is no obligation to refrain from censorship. NONE. The religious right has fought long and hard for the right to censor, and it won.

    The right keeps crying foul over things like this that they fought to change to its current form.

    I agree with this, facebook should be able to do what they want. However, they just show what they believe in, which is not free speech. So, we need to boycott facebook. I havn't used it in 5 years, except like once to get some pictures that were on there. People spend way to much time on that thing anyway. It's not healthy.

    They are free to peddle their speech. And FB is free to ban them. And yes, I think Antifa should be banned as well.

    They are free to, but they shouldn't. And Antifa should get their say on facebook as well, along with neo nazis and Islamist extremists. You either believe in free speech or you don't. Facebook clearly doesn't.

    I believe in free speech, I don't believe in hate speech. They aren't being imprisoned for it - they are being banned from a company's services.

    There is ZERO difference between then and Antifa, Antifa actually has far far far more acts of violence.

    For one to be banned but not the other continues to show the hypocritical attack on free speech that many are calling about.

    Same thing with the gay guy who shopped around until they found a baker who wouldn't bake them a cake. Why was that company not "entitled to as they please with their platform?"

    Bottom line is that Progressives have become insanely hypocritical now that they have lost the will of the majority. This will continue to hurt Facebook as they admit more and more people are leaving the platform.

    If you ban a group like this, then other groups and people need to be banned for their "hate speech" and their political views. High Tech leans very left and in some cases is outright biased against Conservatives and Conservative views. This type of behavior needs to stop.

    Source this if you would like to not be called a l**r.

    Facebook has banned over 2 dozen right leaning sources and groups. the only Left leaning one I can find is someone who attacked Israel over Palestinians.

    To try to say that is to be hypocritical and let lies lead the people, you are spreading ideas that it is equal which is not true.
