I sure do miss the days of Applesoft... when you could write programs yourself that were better than the ones written for you, with very little BASIC programming knowledge.
Or just rewrite all the PRINT and INPUT statements in an existing game to make it funny.

Ah, I thought you were referring to the post I had made seconds earlier where I said I was considering hiring a writer for a political campaign.

I rotate my sig every couple of weeks, so it won't be up much longer. Actually I have something good that everyone can get a kick out of.

Heh, well I make quite a bit of money now for almost no work, so I can afford it; and a writing consultant is pretty ubiquitous in politics, even for naturals like say, Obama. But I make that money in construction, so no, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty obviously.

I'm usually too busy (or too lazy) to go with books, preferring journal articles. However, I'd perhaps go with JE King's Labour Economics. It first introduced me to different economic schools of thought and therefore ensured that I followed a more general approach to my political economic education.
