    Won't be me

I have made a rule - don't waste time and money on ANYTHING posted on you-tube.

Give me research papers, post those graphs and find where they came from and how they were generated - what statistical method was used? Were the trials double blinded? Was there bias in the research? Was it based on Quantitative research or Qualitative research?

Hmmmmm - firstly have you actually verified they are physicians (remember this is the internet - no rules. On the internet you can call yourself a doctor and there is no-one to stop you at the moment)

Secondly were they country hick GP's or were they Oncologists?

And please just because you are an MD does not mean you are all powerful - there are some complete nutcases out there advocating some incredibly stupid ideas

    Case in point "Lotus" births

He is talking about something completely different from Burzynski's work. Those "defective gene or receptors" they can't isolate aren't a problem for anti-neoplastins, as this treatment switches that marker back on in the genetic code, that tells the body to quit reporducing the cancer cells.

Edit: BTW, when I first saw this in 2009 it changed my world view. When you accept that murder for profit of American citizens is occuring by the unholy alliance of government and big business, you see the world differently from that point on.

Phase II trials. That is what has been done.

I don't know much about medicine and very little about cancer. But I do know a little about plants and you will not get a healthy plant without the minerals in the soil avalible in the form the plant can use. So saying that there are not enough minerals in the food we eat is nonsense. Without the proper minerals the food would not be there...and that includes trace minerals. Plants will tell you what they need if you know how to look. An example would be blossum end rot in tomatoes...not enough calcium in the soil.

And I also know you never buy a pharmecutical stock after phase II trials...wait till they pass phase 4.

Phase III trials cost around 25 million dollars, this is how they keep these cures from coming to market.

Do you really think they keep cancer cures from the public?

I don't think they have found a cure yet...and every time i see commercials on TV for some drug the side effects seem to be worse than the illness.

How much worse would it be if they let even more get by? But i guess if a side effect is death you will no longer have a "condition".

A one size fits all cure for cancer? Hell no!

A treatment that is more effective then chemo, and doesn't also give you cancer while curing it? Hell yes!

I have met people who would die if they were taken off their cannabonoid treatment.

Godly love Mr. Tate is caring concern for the spritual well being of another. This requires me to warn sinners of the possibility of hell if they will not repent. It does not require me to pass laws requiring that people who are not God's act as if they were. Aftrer all Christ himself states that to look with sexual lust upon another is diferrent than having illicit sex wth another only by degree in all other ways it is the same sin.

The other side of the coin is that I would not have people curse God because of me. This is one of several several quite grevious Biblical errors made by The leaders at Westboro Baptist.

Okay, stop. Just... Shut up for a minute, and listen close.

You just posted a link to naturalnews.com.

You have no idea what sources are reliable and who can be taken seriously, and really, really need to learn this lesson.

Naturalnews.com is a hyperbolic anti-medical-science dump site. Their record is pretty much perfectly awful. Citing them is about as reasonable as citing Infowars, Loose Change, Zeitgeist, or Obama The Antichrist. You need a dire lesson in vetting your sources, because if you believe every piece of bull(*)(*)(*)(*) you find on the internet, you will be taken for a ride time and time again. You do realize that Naturalnews is still on the "vaccinations cause Autism" buzz, right?

Probably not, though, that's the thing - we're still looking, but we've been looking for a very long time, and part of the problem is simply how these diseases work - there will never be a cure-all for cancer, or even individual types of cancer, and anyone who would tell you otherwise does not understand what cancer is. And please, tell me, what could nature even theoretically offer us to cure HIV, given the way the disease functions? The fact is, not everything we need can be derived from nature. And very often, even when there is a natural cure, it needs extensive processing before it can be used. This attitude is overly optimistic in a potentially dangerous way.

Awesome statistic there pimptight! Thank you!!!!

It seems that North America needs a second branch of drug or natural remedy testing to be done by a group funded by government and independent of the organizations comparable to the FDA in the USA!!??

I had bleeding ulcers when I was very young and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis when I was fourteen. This tends to make me interested in natural remedies or disease prevention nutrition.

A friend of mine who is also into this subject gave me a copy of "The Miracle of MSM" in 1999 and this stuff has dramatically improved my life. My allergies have decreased by perhaps eighty percent in intensity! I now only get a cold or flu about half as often as I used in my pre-MSM days and by taking high dosages of this nutritional sulphur....that the book stated had ZERO toxicity......I can often fight off a cold or flu before the symptoms get really bad.

I had a friend who is a naturopath and he used astonishingly low cost natural methods of detoxification....and then building to dramatically improve many lives that I personally know of!

It seems obvious that you, your family and friends, may have had illness that modern medicine was more effective on which gives you a somewhat different outlook on this topic!

Thank you for the relatively good but obviously not one hundred percent unbiased assessment of NaturalNews.com I will attempt to find better sources of information but research often begins with info on anecdotal cases!!??

I read a pretty good article a few months ago on the preventative nature of hemp oil! Much of modern research is to find products that can be patented which can generate huge revenue. Hemp oil in its natural state would not be researched...because it could not really be patented!!??

GaryD....your post here is of course significantly true! We humans cannot write or speak absolute truth because we have limited rather than absolute knowledge....but yes....the existing medical system has worked for a high percentage of the killers of a century ago.

I guess the problem is that our medical system.....much like our churches......have a tendency to go into the mentality of a monopoly and a siege mentality. Our drug companies and medical systems approach natural preventative remedies much like the Roman Catholic Church used to to approach the growth of the Charismatic or Pentecostal Movement!!!!

This is really all part of organizational behavior....but the bottom line is that highly effective, low cost, natural remedies that cannot be patented and cannot generate high levels of revenue....tend to be deemphasized or......outright suppressed as the competition.....the enemy!!!!!!

Glyconutrients.....nutritional sugars.....that cannot be patented.......seem to boost the immune system and thus have been found to be highly beneficial to AIDS sufferers.....in Kenya where a low cost alternative to expensive drugs is the only alternative that they have!!!!

That might work before full blown aids sets in but after full blown aids you no longer have a normal healing function to support. And medicine is not the same as politics. People get into politics in order to exercise power in some regard, people get into medicine to cure the sick and to help people. This may also explain why only about 20- 30% of American doctors belong to the AMA. And rarely do doctors in Hospitals make it very far up in the administrative food chain because they smply aren't interested in what are after all political postions. This may well explain why The halls of congress contain only 2 or 3 doctors among 535 total but nearly all the remainder are lawyers, By the way the last speaker of the house to not be a lawyer by training was Newt Gingrich. All in all it appears far more mentally taxing to become aDoctor though than to become a lawyer. After all Joe Biden has a law degree.

Which is interesting. Apparently, MSM has statistically significant positive results on osteoarthritis in the knee, and other peer-reviewed medical papers assert a fairly strong antioxidant effect. Of course, I'm not sure to which degree you could consider MSM a "miracle medicine", and I'm left to wonder if you're correctly attributing your symptom reduction. By the way, if you're interested in double-checking medical claims, that site I linked above, PubMed, is a huge database of peer-reviewed medical papers. It is generally to be held as the gold standard when talking about medicine.

And I have many friends who absolutely swear by acupuncture and homeopathy and are absolutely convinced that they work - despite the fact that numerous double-blind placebo studies (along with basic anatomy in the former case and physics in the latter case) demonstrated them not to work, and that they just make absolutely no sense on their face. So you have to understand that I'm a little dubious of claims of that nature. There are too many factors on an individual level, from confirmation bias to correlation-causation fallacies to just straight-up lying (not accusing anyone, but it can happen). Like, let me try to make my point as clear as possible: this is Miracle Mineral Solution. You can find a gigantic list of testimonials from people who would claim that MMS works. What is MMS? Bleach. MMS is finely diluted bleach; that's the only ingredient. Do you see where I'm coming from here?

Actually, my folks are old-school hippies, and my father is absolutely certain that all of the following exist/work: vampires, visiting aliens, 9/11 conspiracies, acupuncture, homeopathy, chiropractic, zombies, werewolves... I had a weird-ass childhood. The thing is less that I have this experience, and more that I did my homework. I took lessons from issues like the Jenny McCarthy bull(*)(*)(*)(*), and I learned to vet my sources. If the best sources you can find for a claim that a medicine does something is a book or a website; if you can't find backing in the peer-reviewed literature, the claim should be taken with a massive grain of salt.

Research too often begins (and ends) at sites that have the honesty of Kent Hovind and the journalistic integrity of the National Enquirer. Sites that will tell you that vaccination is bad for you, that modern medicine is a scam that wants to keep you sick, and similar bull(*)(*)(*)(*). Sites that are either lying through their teeth, don't know any better, or both. And if you don't know how to vet your sources, you're going to fall for crap like that and get taken for a ride. Just... stop going to Naturalnews for health information. You might as well visit Answers In Genesis for your information on evolution.

See, that's interesting. Or not, because the term "Glyconutrient" is essentially meaningless to begin with. It's a buzzword invented by Mannatech, a multilevel marketing firm. That already should be a red flag right there. But then I do myself a favor and check PubMed for "Glyconutrient AIDS" and "Glyconutrient HIV"... Nothing. So I google it, and I get this page. Now, listen to this:

I'm sorry, but if you have even a high-school understanding of what HIV is or how it works, you will know for a fact that these people are completely talking out of their asses. There is no backing for the utility of glyconutrients the way they are advertised here, and I'm curious what Kenyan doctors that article was talking about - there were no citations. Again, it's a matter of vetting your sources.

It's been said before. In the olden days, people noticed that some plants or seeds helped them get better when they fell ill. It was rudimentary, but better than nothing. Eventually "natural medicine" evolved, where some widely known remedies mixed up with individual potions and folk cures. Science evolved, and looked at and analysed all these natural medicines and discovered which ones were effective, and which were not. They took the effective ones, and called them "Medicine". The rest were divided up into "Soup" and "Pot Pourri".

Actually, here is a quotation from a ninety year old physician regarding how a combination of glyconutrients worked on 20 of 21 ailments that he personally had back when he was 85. Mannatech has some form of patent on various COMBINATIONS of these nutritional sugars...but has ZERO patent on any one of the nutritional sugars by itself....which means that they are INEXPENSIVE IN THE EXTREME.......if any organization was interested in helping people to feel and be healthier with low cost food supplements!!!!

(Dr. Rayburn Goen, New Nutrition Paradigm)

I saw this physician on a video in which he was ninety years of age or older. He impressed me as a man who had ran into something astonishing and wanted the whole world to know about it so that this could be researched and the lives of people could be radically improved......at astonishingly low cost!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes....that is part of the formula but also..........once sincere people in virtually all fields of expertise develop technical jargon that on one level make it difficult if not impossible for a skilled person who doesn't have a certain type of degree to compete with the expert who is armed with all the correct terms that is almost like a foreign language!!!

We are all human....and large companies can always find a certain percentage of physicians or scientists who will go to rather extreme length to make money for their company.....and integrity tends to get tossed out the window.....at least to some extent.

For the record I met a seemingly sincere man who had two sons who were pronounced as autistic by the same pediatrician who later on had the privilege to pronounce both young boys in total remission!!! The only thing that the father knows for sure that he did differently was that he gave his sons glyconutrients.......but what is the probability that physicians would be allowed to tell the parents of autistic children this potentially helpful information without their getting into trouble with a drug company???!!!
