Illegals Pouring Into Our Country

My ancestors came here legally, which is already a lot more than anyone can say about the tens of millions of people you want legalized so they can empower your political party. I suspect your income is dependent on it in some way, which is usually the case.

They came legally, for starters. They were pressured to learn English and adapt to American culture, and they did for the most part. They weren't drains on the welfare state, as the welfare state didn't really exist at that point. All very different from the situation we have now with Hispanics immigrants, many of whom come illegally, drop anchor babies for citizenship, and have more children they can afford to take advantage of welfare subsidies.

They are at war with the white majority, so their hospitality is more based on spite and political benefit than compassion.

They're not hired for their ability to produce superior work compared with Americans, they are hired because they are willing to work for less. If they were naturally better workers, they wouldn't be among the least educated groups in the country, most chronically unemployed, and the most likely to need Government assistance.

I don't need to pick soybeans, but there are a lot of people on welfare right now enjoying their 99 weeks of "funemployment" that should get to work doing it. This is just one example of modern lib culture promoting laziness in Americans and then using them to further their pro-illegal immigration agenda.

THEN you get to come back, get paid $5 (and if you complain, you get sent straight to Mexico), and need food stamps. You moocher!

I think this is a good point. It's not a coherent government that makes them illegal, then gives them food stamps, then prosecutes those who hire them, then warehouses the children. But we don't have a coherent government. We have powerful political voices for the "send them back" group, the "let them work for a living wage and tax them" group, and the "look the other way" group.

No, of course not. It's employers taking advantage of cheap labor. Imagine an endless supply of really REALLY hard workers willing to work for nearly nothing. Sheesh, manna from heaven.

Rather, I'm motivated by curiosity as to how best to direct the forces at work here. I'm a retired computer programmer today. My ancestors came here over 300 years ago. I would be very happy if the Republicans figured out some way to neutralize this problem. Which would likely mean they'd get the votes. Hint: Erecting 1200 miles of fences defended with concertina wire isn't the answer, and won't work for us anymore than it worked for the soviets.

 

It's really simple. If here illegally, then send them back home. What can't you understand about that????

Ah, but the quotas are still in place. The quota for Mexicans is currently a paltry 5000 per year. And Ellis Island processed immigrants until 1954.

 

The misery these children are enduring is horrible. I don't care what side of the political isle you are on, they should be everyone's concern. Encouraging their families to send them because of the awful lives they have in their countries and the open policy Barack Obama has forwarded is not right. This needs to stop or it will become a human crisis.

We need to open up or LEGAL IMMIGRATION policy in a huge way. Currently the U.S.A. has nearly more legal immigrants than the rest of the world's nations combined and we can do even better. Anyone saying Republicans are ogre's ignores this valid fact.

 

Won't work. Both sides are against that. Afraid to lose the Hispanic vote. Plus it to expensive. The simple way is to deprive them work unless they are citizens, or have a work visa, but I'm afraid they won't do that either. That is the only way to get a hold of our border once again. They're going to keep pouring in here if we don't.

 

I would bet many are sent knowing that the government will send for the parents to take care of them. Of course if they have more children, they would come here too.

I remember when I asked one of my kids what he learned in school one day and he replied that he had learned that Columbus was a bad man who killed the Indians. Yep, Columbus killed some Indians. The book 'Camp of the Saints' is starting to look more and more like non-fiction........the downfall of White Western Civilization has begun as the third world invasion heats up from Italy to France to the UK and Scandinavia.........these hoards of low IQ, non-skilled Mayans are here for the social benefits. When my ancestors came over they came for opportunity......not welfare.....there was none. How many of these invaders are already pregnant and getting ready to drop a brand new "U.S. Citizen" followed by 5 or 6 more all paid for by 'Medicaid'......that's a better word than 'taxpayers' right? At this point we may as well just open up the borders and invite all of the rest of the Mayans and Aztecs in........open the hospitals to them.........give them all EBT cards upon arrival and Section 8 housing....free education........and don't worry about the diseases.......the liberal 'progressives' who brought this upon us live in gated communities and send their kids to lilly white private schools......they are just glad to see another generation of Mayans coming in to cut their grass. We have three military bases opened up to housing these hoards of invaders (to the ignorant that costs friggin money).......meanwhile an American who served honorably in our military is dying while waiting for a VA appointment because there's not enough friggin money........and the 'progressive' liberals think that is normal and can be condoned because they hate the military anyway........meanwhile Obama fiddles in Washington.......and can't even get the Mexicans to release one U.S. marine........its all too pathetic to believe.

If I had any sort of power or influence, my ultimate goal would be to do away with birthright citizenship. That, in and of itself, would remove one of the greatest incentives for illegal immigration.

Other than that, (again, if I were able to actually do anything), e-verify would be mandatory, there would be stiff penalties for businesses that hired undocumented workers which would be enforced consistently, there would also be penalties for those found assisting illegal immigrants secure housing (etc), very stiff penalties for those found providing fake documentation for illegals, absolutely no tax based assistance of any sort for illegals, remittances would be heavily scrutinized, far more resources would be dedicated to our borders.

In short, make an illegal existence in this country so difficult that it's practically not worth it. There's no need to 'round 'em all up'.

 

I get how you want these two issues to be related, but unfortunately for you and your ideological brethren, it just isn't so. Illegal immigration would come to a screeching halt if the political will was there. It wouldn't be hard to do.
