still not seeing the bill in question, would like to read it and discuss it....

and why is Congress wasting time naming outpatient clinic's

Rep. Sam Farr (D-Calif.) has sponsored a bill aimed at naming an outpatient clinic after the late Major General William H. Gourley. It cleared the House in November.

and how can they be holding up the bill if Obama already signed it

    http://www.montereyherald.com/20140725/marina-clinic-will-be-named-after-maj-gen-gourley

"Rep. Sam Farr, D-Carmel, said Friday that President Barack Obama signed a bill allowing the clinic to be named in honor of Gourley, who in retirement championed the care and treatment of veterans and service members in California."

Obama is about to "attempt" to legalize as many people as jobs created since 2009. I can't think of a bigger slap in the face to the American public. What folks fail to realize is because Obama chooses to use prosecutorial discretion NOT to go after Illegals, it still doesn't change their status. For them to stay legally he would need to give them all visa's first and then go through the in place process in order to give them green cards. The only way to short cut that process is for Congress to change the process. Considering legal permanent residents CAN NOT vote, the Democrat Party will all but vanish in 2016. The Republican's need to make it clear to Obama if he does this, while they may be legal residents, they won't be voting for decades to come.

What more workers? Most of them are working now, except the millions that will be sneaking in here in the next few months hoping to jump on the citizenship bandwagon. Most of them will be under the government poverty guideline and will be not only able to draw welfare, but thousands of dollars from the IRS, depending on how many kids they have, even though they won't have to pay any Federal taxes. They will take away much more tax dollars than they will ever pay in. That's why many are coming here. But since many Liberals aren't paying Federal taxes either, they could care less. This could cost us billions every year. So go on and make them citizens.

He's going to say they won't be allowed to get welfare or any government services, but that's a lie. They will be given work permits and pay taxes. But you know most will make under the poverty line and will pay no Federal taxes. What they will do is get this. It will cost us billions.

so why has the house not passed this bill that the dems past?

    http://www.conservativeusa.org/issues/senate-amnesty-bill-s-744

"The United States faces an illegal immigration crisis. The Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act introduced by Senator Schumer (D-NY), claims to be the answer to that crisis. This study examines whether S. 744 (as amended and passed by the Senate) provides a solution to the major problems of illegal immigration."

you said the republican controlled house passed something?

Notice that no congressman has EVER suggested that employers should be arrested, charged and fined for hiring illegals even though it is the law. That's because this is about race, not illegals.

"Many of the provisions of S. 744 are subject to the discretion of the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, and can be waived or altered at the discretion of the Secretary. Columnist George Will counted 153 instances in which the bill allows a waiver. The discretionary power of the Secretary extends to such matters as providing required documentation as well as paying fees and back taxes."

"llegal aliens are usually poorly educated and low income. Therefore, they use government services at a higher rate than native citizens and legal immigrants. The cost of illegal immigration, from schools to prisons to healthcare, is a major concern that needs to be addressed.
The most comprehensive analysis of the financial effect of S. 744 has been prepared by the Heritage Foundation. Their research showed that, far from reducing these costs, the bill would add another $6.3 trillion for taxpayers over the lifetime of those receiving amnesty. Government would receive about $3.1 trillion in tax payments but provide them with $9.4 trillion in services and welfare benefits.
Short-term estimates of the cost of the bill are misleading, since the full cost of government services will hit only as those receiving amnesty become citizens. This fact has been confirmed by the Congressional Budget Office (see below). It is safe to say that passage of S. 744 would make this problem worse, not better"

I could quote more of the article but why you wont read it ;)

The difference is that the house has had the immigration problem sitting in their laps for 6 years and have failed to act. There needs to be immigration reform, even the Republicans admit that. What was that about immigration reform bills sitting on Harry Ried's desk?? The Senate passed an immigration reform bill in June 2013, sent it to the house where it died because Boehner couldn't get it done. All Boehner had to do to stop Obama from issuing EOs on immigration was to allow the Senate bill to be voted on by congress but he was more interested in voting 40 times to repeal Obamacare.

How popular do you think Ted Cruz would be in Texas if they started arrested employers for hiring illegals? It ain't gonna happen.

I watched those videos too and if it was as you say, the House would be OBLIGATED to impeach Obama.

If people like Ted Cruz were serious about immigration reform, they'd focus on why people cross into the US illegally: Because employers will hire them without fear of the law. This isn't about immigration, this is about abusing human rights because of where somebody comes from. You do know that thousands of people cross the border from Canada into the US to work every day without fear of being arrested, right?

a law to make it easier to deport unaccompanied minors, of course that would not pass

""Instead of working together, instead of focusing on the 80 percent where there is agreement between the Democrats and Republicans, between the administration and Congress, House Republicans, as we speak, are trying to pass the most extreme and unworkable versions of a bill that they already know is going nowhere"

I had not even heard they tried this last month, thanks for the link
