I reckon you have overlooked the very clear incitement rhetoric used by Trump et al just before the idiots went to the Capitol. I've read about how cats somehow infect cat people, getting them so fixated on the cats that they destroy their lives. As sad as Cat People are, those fixated on Trump to the exclusion of everyone else, seem even worse. Which ones said Trump sent them to engage in anything other than a peaceful protest and what evidence of him saying so did they present? When did they say Trump told them to do this?

 

Trump is not DC law enforcement. Trump is not capital security. He doesn't order them to do anything. It was Pelosi and the Capital Hill security who refused the extra security that was offered including NG troops.

It's also ridiculous for his apologists to claim that he had no prior knowledge of what was going to happen. If so, why did Trump claim that he asked for National Guard back-up based on intelligence reports (we know he doesn't read) and was denied?

I'm done keeping track of the ever-changing conspiracy of the day. Reminds me of a failed marriage of mine. I had a wheel - like a tiny version from Wheel of Fortune. But instead of money, the sections had my wife's moods. I spun it to predict my day. Lol.

Trump brought 'em. Trump sent 'em. Trump didn't stop 'em. That's all anyone needs to know, and I'm pretty confident that's how most people see it.

 

I hear you. It's exhausting trying to figure out how they spin all this. I've said it before. I could understand this kind of loyalty for someone who has good qualities and has done something positive for his community or society, but every time I turn around, there is yet another piece of information about how Trump has cheated somebody, stiffed on his bills, just all kinds of horrible behavior. Why is that somebody that any self-respecting person would look up to?

 

It's not spin, it's just a fact. If they want to try to bring it to court, fine but they'd lose said court case. The fascination with getting Trump 'locked up' is unhealthy.

 

Can you explain why you think having a person tried and convicted for his crimes is "fascination"?

 

A: We don't know if it's an actual crime, and B: Ever since 2016, people wanted this guy in Jail. it's unhealthy. Aren't there other evil guys to focus on?

 

What was he doing the rest of the day and the preceding days? And why did his followers do this?
