Nice try of covering up the shameful past of the Democrat party, but read any honest history book and you will see that the Democrats have always been the enemy of the black race. The so-called "War on Poverty" with its welfare handouts to unwed mothers, has destroyed the black family and the blacks are now even worse off than they were in the days of Jim Crow. If you are a white Democrat, you are part of the problem, you are the white oppressor who keeps blacks down.

The Republicans are the ones actually following MLK's dream and treating people individually according to content of character. Democrats are still dividing people up according to color and treating them differently. The only difference is that they are now overcompensating and putting minorities on a pedestal instead of outright mistreating them the way they did before. Interestingly, the results of this new behavior are similar to the results of the old, though. Blacks in particular are still suffering. Now because they are not being held responsible for things and are thus not surrounded by an environment that fosters independence and character-building. When are Democrats going to learn to stop trying to judge a book by its cover and just treat everybody normally without presupposition? I mean, come on. Is it really that hard to do?

Modern Democrats treat minorities like the "hot girl." Constantly sucking up to them. Seeking their approval. I'm almost embarrassed for them. It's pretty pathetic to watch. The guilt and shame over their party's past actions is palpable. That's why they have to smear everybody else all the time. It's a defense mechanism. It's designed to say, "Hey look, guys! We're not racist anymore! Guys? Guys???!!! Over here! Look! We like black people now! So we're the good guys now! And if you don't do what we do, then that makes YOU the bad guys! Yes, yes, YOU'RE the racists now! You you you!! Bad! Racist! Me good, you bad! See how much ass I'm kissing? That's how unracist I am! You're not as unracist as me! Because you still have self-respect! You evil bigot!"

This kind of Democrat overcompensation is the only reason race is even still an issue today. The rest of the country got over it a long time ago. Nobody else cares what color people are except for lefties. And I guarantee you everyone who takes issue with this statement is going to be a lefty. Thus proving my point. Just watch.

You should at least be honest in your OP. The only kind of racism that progressives see as a problem is the kind that goes from whites (majority) to one of their minority voting blocs. Whenever else racism is practiced, it's not as big of an issue.

So do 2/3rd of democrats including a substantial number of African-Americans themselves. I couple of friends of mine from back in my college days who happened to be African-Americans married caucasian gals. One's family disowned him for marrying a white girl and the other one told me that in general caucasians including conservatives such as myself were less likely to give a damn than alot of his black friends who several of whom told him to get lost after his marriage including a couple of aunts that he been very close to when he was growing up. He said he was quite surprised and hurt by their reaction.

 

Since there is a new thread about how racist conservatives or Republicans are every two or three days. Maybe the moderators should make it it's own section, since it seems pretty popular?

 

Has any Democrat been able to find a year their platform didn't call for new legislation or the protection of legislation based on skin color?

Can they find any year the republicans pushed legislation that discriminated based on race?

If not, where do they come up with this? And why are the neighborhoods where blacks suffer the most all run by democrats without exception? Or why are 100% of the worst schools blacks send their kids to 100% run by failing democrat school boards?

Finally, and this goes to the heart of their sick paternal racism:
