No it cuts the expected increases. See you guys always play this game, Obamacare has expected increases yearly and as usual they've been way short. That being said, the CBO projects increases to be XXX, the Senate bill increases are expected to be 800b less.

Hmm... that could be what Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan have in mind.

Of course, "progressives" and Democrats will never fess up to that because it reflects poorly on FullRetardCare.

When I was a typical healthy young person, I went almost 20 years without health insurance I didn't need and want. During that entire time I made one trip to the doctor to treat some poison oak I got into and I paid cash for the treatment I received. Contrary to all the BS Obama and his worshippers shovel, I never got hit by a bus or contracted some terrible disease. As I approached middle age I decided to pick up health insurance, which I still would have been better off not purchasing. In the years since I started buying HI, it would have been much less expensive to pay for my HC than to pay for all the HI premiums I've flushed down the toilet. However, that was choice I was willing to make and I can live with that. What I can't live with are a bunch of dictatorial collectivist megalomaniacs imposing those decisions on me - they can stick their authoritarian impulses where the sun doesn't shine.

I agree. Based on my own personal observations I don't know of anyone, including myself and my wife, who is constantly running to the doctor to get "preventative care".

It would seem that the only argument that greedy, money-grubbing "progressives" have for preserving the Democrats' failed entitlement-based vote-buying racket is "I want a handout - give me your money". It's like getting shaken down on the street by an aggressive panhandler.

To stabilize them and then sent on their way out of the emergency room. The whole emergency room thing is way overstated.

You're dancing now, you were talking about people without insurance, and the taxpayers only pay if it is Medicare or Medicaid, the government is not billed for those other people.

Heaven forbid, but should you ever fall off your surfboard and a Great White decides to snack on your leg, let us know how your doctor shopping went as you bled out.

They are not secured in documentation only. Congress has always approved federal benefits. What is your point?

Billing amounts in excess of reimbursement are not deductible

My point was clear. No federal benefit is "secure". Every new Congress must affirm them.

“Illinois is like Venezuela now, a fiscally broken state that has lost its will to live, although for the moment, we still have enough toilet paper.
But before we run out of the essentials, let's finally admit that after decade upon decade of taxing and spending and borrowing, Illinois has finally run out of other people's money.
Those "other people" include taxpayers who've abandoned the state. And now Illinois faces doomsday.” CHICAGO TRIBUNE, What to do with a broken Illinois: Dissolve the Land of Lincoln, By John Kass, 6/20/17.

Yes....and then the hospital raises their prices and you and I who have insurance pay more for our insurance.

I am not sure why this concept is so f'n hard for the right to admit. This is the MAIN driver of costs in healthcare today next to greed

But that is what you are indicating in your posts, that YOU should have choice, that healthcare is like any other commodity that can be bought off the shelf. It is NOT!only folks with

Also, technically speaking, if we were to allow insurance companies complete reign over who they would insure, only people who worked desk jobs and spent their free time in front of the TV would be covered. Surfing is considered a high risk by actuaries.

How about you and all your liberal compadres, which includes Hollywood, come together to form a "Broke Asses Who Need Healthcare" club and y'all pay for them then.

That's like hiring an automobile designer that's actually worked on the vehicles he designs. Government didn't have to be on Ocare either and that was a problem.

How about you pay slightly more in taxes and we will pay slightly more in taxes to help you pay for the healthcare of you and your family if you need it.

Pass. Give me some decently affordable options, that the majority of the working class can afford, to choose from and I'll choose. People who get subsidies (thanks to people like me) should have options to the same set of plans. If they can't afford them then that's on them. Same goes for me. Nobody needs to babysit me. And nobody needs to penalize me for not having health insurance.
