Now that hysterical last I checked 2008 is nine years ago. And they've already checked his IRS returns and they've been checking them at least since the day he announced and they've got nothing or it would already have been leaked. Oh and the IRS can only go back seven years max.

Oh and youa re of course missing the obvious reason for that. They haven't been able to find anything criminal that is more recent so they put longer lines on their fishing reals and are hoping for something that at least looks bad even if it isn't criminal.

Well, since you couldn't deny that there is a lot of shady dealings in Trump's business, the statute of limitations is the only argument you have left!

The noose is tightening. And, judging by his behavior yesterday, no one knows that better than Donald Trump.

Yup. This is the definition of a witch hunt: keep looking until you find something, anything wrong. I defy anyone to go through that kind of scrutiny. So no Russian collusion? Well, just keep looking. It's ridiculous. I hope someone opens up an investigation into Mueller.

Actually, that is not true. A number of Republican lawmakers spoke up today. The general conclusion was that if Trump fired Mueller, that would be catastrophic for the administration. Perhaps a number of Republicans on The Hill are wising up and they don't want to go down with Trump.

Some GOP Senators suggested that they would appoint a special counsel of their own if Trump fires Mueller, which is doubtful at this point. Trump isn't that stupid.

It is clear why Trump has not held a White House press conference since February. He said some things in the interview with Times reporters yesterday that are questionable at best. The interview was both interesting and strange and, at times, very un-presidential, a trademark of Trump interviews.

Where to start? Well, we can start with the denunciation of his attorney general, Jeff Sessions. "Sessions should have never recused himself, and if he was going to recuse himself, he should have told me before he took the job, and I would have picked somebody else." Trump added, "It's extremely unfair, and that's a mild word, to the president. So [Sessions] recuses himself. I then end up with a second man, who's a deputy."

Trump apparently feels that attorneys in the DOJ are his own personal lawyers who are appointed to serve him. Sessions swore an oath to uphold the Constitution. He did not swear a loyalty oath to Trump. The President still seems confused about that point.

Sessions isn't going anywhere. The White House said Trump “still has confidence” in Sessions despite his harsh criticism a day earlier. The attorney general also told reporters he would stay on the job for as long as "appropriate." Trump continues to want it both ways, another trademark of his rhetoric.

What about that second man? Trump had some choice words for him, too. "So his deputy [Sessions] hardly knew, and that's Rosenstein, Rod Rosenstein, who is from Baltimore. There are very few Republicans in Baltimore, if any. So, he's from Baltimore."

Trump is hopelessly obsessed with Comey. "Now, perhaps I would have fired Comey anyway, and it certainly didn't hurt to have the letter, O.K." "[Comey] illegally leaks, and everyone thinks it is illegal, and by the way, it looks like it's classified and all that stuff." "[Comey's] testimony is loaded up with lies, O.K.?"

The White House has never substantiated any of the charges made by Trump against Comey. His comments, therefore, constitute a "witch hunt."

There are times people wonder how his mind works. It is not always clear from his statements.

Trump said Mueller would cross a red line if he started looking at Trump family finances going beyond any Russia connection. ''I think that's a violation. Look, this is about Russia.”

    Bloomberg reports that today:

The U.S. special counsel investigating possible ties between the Donald Trump campaign and Russia in last year’s election is examining a broad range of transactions involving Trump’s businesses as well as those of his associates, according to a person familiar with the probe.

FBI investigators and others are looking at Russian purchases of apartments in Trump buildings, Trump’s involvement in a controversial SoHo development in New York with Russian associates, the 2013 Miss Universe pageant in Moscow and Trump’s sale of a Florida mansion to a Russian oligarch in 2008, the person said.

There have been very few, if any, leaks involving Mueller's investigation. Bloomberg's disclosure begs a question. Did Mueller just call Trump's bluff?

The White House said today that Trump has no intention of firing Mueller.

In reality it is just more of the same failed warnings you have always given.

Your prophetic warnings have fallen flat everytime and it is clear to all with any intelligence that the Trump/ Russia /interference in the election story is a BS conspiracy theory.

A more accurate prediction is you will still be whining about it when he is re elected

Or maybe throw a riot in a lefty city and destroy lefty businesses? That's always fun to watch.

I look forward to whatever you guys have planned.

As soon as Hillary produces the emails she deleted and everyone that pleaded the 5th to get out of testifying is forced to talk, plus a recording of Bills tarmac chat, ill be happy to know about Trumps business dealings a decade ago. Fair?

    'Trump’s Russian Laundromat'

    BY CRAIG UNGER

    July 13, 2017

"Trump built his business empire in no small part with a lot of dirty money from a lot of dirty Russians—including the dirtiest and most feared of them all."

"The feds wanted to arrest Ivankov, but he kept vanishing. “He was like a ghost to the FBI,” one agent recalls. Agents spotted him meeting with other Russian crime figures in Miami, Los Angeles, Boston, and Toronto. They also found he made frequent visits to Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, which mobsters routinely used to launder huge sums of money. In 2015, the Taj Mahal was fined $10 million—the highest penalty ever levied by the feds against a casino—and admitted to having “willfully violated” anti-money-laundering regulations for years."

"Trump can’t fire Mueller directly, according to the law that authorizes Mueller’s probe. If he tried, he could set off a chain-reaction that would throw the Justice Department into upheaval.

Only the person acting as attorney general, currently Rod Rosenstein on matters related to the probe, can fire Mueller, and he’s said he won’t do it without “good cause.” So Trump would first have to purge the upper ranks of the Justice Department until he finds someone willing to follow his orders and dismiss the special counsel."

Going after stuff not directly related to any russian collusion and the law that makes that illegal is enough of a "good cause".

If only there was a special prosecutor under Obama ...

Half of his administration would be locked up right now.
