he did lose the election polling, Hillary got millions more votes then Trump did, but Trump still won as the one most Americans voted for was not the winner, sometimes loosers like Trump win through affirmative action for the smaller states

now that we are learning about the republican cheating on absentee votes.... wonder how many of those in 2016 and why Trump stopped the investigation into voter fraud with no explanation

Did Hillary win the Presidency? No. Hillary won the popular vote because the left gave away more free stuff in certain liberal areas.

It's just not enough to be President.

The longer the shutdown drags on the more folks will realize a large chunk of the Government simply doesn't matter to the vast majority of the voters.

the only reason Trump won the Presidency with less votes is cause most Americans thought "grab em by the psy" Trump did not stand a chance and did not bother to get out and vote... they will not make that mistake in 2020

Hillary got millions more votes then Trump

and now that we found out how republicans were cheating with Absentee ballots, it questionable if Trump really won in the states he won

Trump halted his investigation into voter fraud, one can only assume that cause what he was finding was lots of republican fraud

The Midterms proved that to be the case.

The single largest factor was the significant INCREASE in the number of first time voters in Midterms IMO.

That increase was 16% who voted 3:2 in favor of the Dems.

The Dems galvanizing first time voters is the direct opposite of the GOP's voter suppression and gerrymandering.

There is no way for the BLOTUS to prevail in 2020 if the Dems use this strategy.

Yeah Obama, who oversaw the killing of bin Laden, did a worse job of war than Cadet Heel Spurs, who knows more than the generals no less.

That's interesting since Trump's approval numbers just jumped 19 percent among Hispanic-Americans over the wall stand-off with with Pelosi and company and also increased by 6 percent among Blacks. So . . . is Hillary Clinton going to win . . . again?

Talk about grasping at straws. The improvement from "basement" numbers to "dire" numbers won't save him. His approval has been underwater his entire Presidency and his approval has just dropped with his base.

    Wrong!

    It DROPPED 6% amongst Blacks!

    https://www.newsmax.com/us/latinos-hispanics-presidential-approval-ratings/2019/01/17/id/898717/

Overall your BLOTUS has DROPPED 3% since the last poll which is NOT a good sign at all!

I'm not so sure about that. In fact, I think his base - no matter what - will go down swinging. If Trump doesn't get his wall, they will blame the Dems - not accuse Trump of weakness. In fact, Trump could turn it around and announce his 'caving' for the good of the country...that 'the people' are being hurt by the shutdown and the standoff. It wouldn't be genuine, of course, but he would still have them eating out of his hand.

If the 2018 Elections were held now instead of 2 months ago .............. The Senate would be Democratic

I agree. But their selection of candidate has to be very strategic, on many fronts. And with Trump running in 2020 being an unknown at this point, it becomes all the more difficult. If he does run, there is no doubt that a successful candidate cannot 'out gutter' Trump - and nor should they. But they need to stand toe to toe with the unconventional. If he doesn't run, it is a different ball game entirely. Dems cannot take for granted that they will win - similar to the choice of McCain in 2008. They need to present a candidate that will represent a 'reset', and show the kind of leadership the country deserves.

    Of course you do.

One can of course assume what ever BS one wants. But the fact is that the investigation was halted because it could not coerce the states to cooperate. And no one has yet proven thre was any cheating with absentee ballots.

What do you mean by "should" have been? Historically the Democrats SHOULD have gained control of both chambers. The fact that Republicans gained anywhere is astounding and insured that they controlled the most important chamber at this time in history. With their power to actually decide if the President stays the President and their power to confirm or not any new Supreme Court nominees the Senate was way more important then the Congress. Now the Democrats did make sure that nothing will get done that pertains to legislation and they are now able to do lots of investigating. But in the end it was a partial victory at best and if one or more justices retire or die then a catastrophe of immense proportions for the Democrats.

While that is correct it was essentially Hillary and Obama by shortly after New Hampshire and Hillary vs Bernie by shortly after the first super Tuesday. And you don't have super delegates this time around to guarantee someone the inside track and way more loose cannons running than ever before. Hide and watch by the time the Iowa caucuses are done, unless Biden decides to run, God Help us all, there will be more mud being slung than what's rolling down a Malibu hillside during the first good rain after a brush fire. You just can't rub that many egos together and not create at least a few small fires.

Indeed - picking up 40 seats in the house and -losing- a seat in the senate is rather lackluster by 1st midterm standards.

Lose re-election? What makes you think he'll still be around to be re-elected?

"The special counsel’s office learned about Trump’s directive for Cohen to lie to Congress through interviews with multiple witnesses from the Trump Organization and internal company emails, text messages, and a cache of other documents. Cohen then acknowledged those instructions during his interviews with that office."
