There were about 400000 military people from Germany+Italy in Africa and about 3.5 million people from Germany and allies on the East Front. USA didn't have to invade France. We chose to, putting a lot of lives at risk.

Continental USA was a fortrece and we could have simply built a blockade to prevent a Nazi attack on the USA mainland.

What you write is a BS. US and UK were asked many times to help USSR and open the second front in France, but they refused to do it until realized that USSR moving too much fast to the west. So here we come- US and UK acted in their own interests- ie were selfish. No, I wished that USA/UK created a second front not in 1944, but in 1942 or better in 1941. If the second front was not opened in 1944, Nazis were still defeated, only later. If you do not know, the war for Nazis was lost after Stalingrad battle in February 1943, thanks to Soviet Army.

Was it? It wasn't self preservation which caused the Russians (i.e. Soviets) to ally themselves with Nazi Germany. Nazi Germany and Mother Russia were not that different. They were both ruled by autocratic monsters. Hitler killed millions of Germans. Staling killed millions of Russians. There really isn't that much difference between the two.

Clearly, Hitler didn't respect Stalin. Hitler thought Mother Russia was an easy target in his quest for global domination given Stalin's many purges. And he was almost correct, had he planned out his invasion a little better, he would have been successful. But he didn't.

Washington doesn't need an excuse, because it isn't supplying arms to terrorists. Here is the thing, Mother Russia views anyone who disagrees with Mother Putina or opposes Mother Putina is a terrorist. And that simply isn't the case. Syrian dissidents aren't terrorists. They are just dissidents who rebelled against a tyrant, a Mother Putina ally, who has and continues to slaughter and gas Syrians.

And just because Ukrainians want their independence and have rejected Mother Russia's enforced corruption, invasion, occupation and annexation of their lands, it doesn't make them Nazis. It just makes them good people. Unfortunately for you and your beloved Mother Russia facts and reason do matter.
