Good job USAF and coalition forces. And nice precision strike hopefully lots of damage and enemy casualties. You have to take the fight to them sometimes.

    "
BAGHDAD (AP) — The U.S.-led coalition says American warplanes have dropped 36,000 kilograms (40 tons) of bombs on an Island in the Tigris River "infested" with members of the Islamic State group.

The coalition said F15 and F35 warplanes took part in the bombing on Qanus Island in the central province of Salaheddine, north of the capital Baghdad.

Tuesday's attack is part of operations carried out by Iraqi forces and the U.S.-led coalition against IS, which was defeated in Iraq in 2017."

It couldn't have been ISIS. ISIS is totally defeated.

Precision strike--as in no children or innocent civilians were harmed?

You don't use 40 ton of bombs if you are wanting to hit military targets with precision. Anyway Trump made a point he wanted to kill the families of ISIS.

If they are the enemy that is the correct response.

You believe that if it is someone you call 'the enemy' it is correct to kill their wives and children and other non combatants? A lot of people think of the US as their enemy. Do you believe they have the right to kill any American man woman or child they see?

The Vietnam war ended because civilians in the West including the US could not support the barbarity of it.

Strange how any bombing of Idlib by the Russians is condemned by Washington and the MSM, even though it's infested with tens of thousands of Al Nusra/Al Sham terrorists and they are continuously trying to attack the Russian base with drones and missiles.

If I recall, didn't Washington tell the Iraqis in Mosul not to leave the city because of precision strikes? The bodies were yet to be buried a year after the bombing and the smell was unbearable. I consider it genocide.

MOSUL - After our precision bombing.

Sounds like terrorism to me. Same justification for the killing of innocents.

Sounds like a successful strike on a military enemy on their military base.

Was it? I guess we will just have to wait to find out from foreign sites, I mean we're certainly not going to find out from the MSM.

Were they only the families, or did ISIS have hostages to keep us from bombing? As I said, we will find out later from foreign sites as well as more reliable Western ones.

well those who think America is the enemy are the bad guys, so no they don't have rights to attack us.

war is a crappy thing to get into, If you get into one yes though killing non combatants should be given every consideration killing them incidentally doesn't make you the bad guy.

lots of people point to the fire bombing of Dresden by the British as being horrible , My thought? it was a war tough cookies. don't be the bad guy and that kind of thing won't happen.

So then what is genocide and what isn't? Are you saying that good nations do not commit genocide since they're using bombs to ethnically cleanse people and not other means? Wouldn't that make bombs the determining factor on whether a nation consists of good guys or bad guys? Strange! And here I thought it depended on whether they were for us or against us - or rather if they served our interests or didn't.

Anyway, I think it's time we rid ourselves of this new found paganism and barbarity - and really be good guys and the way our Founding Fathers intended us to be.

The Geneva Conventions is a body of Public International Law, also known as the Humanitarian Law of Armed Conflicts, whose purpose is to provide minimum protections, standards of humane treatment, and fundamental guarantees of respect to individuals who become victims of armed conflicts.

We pray that there will be a day
when evil such will slide away
and man finds that he's free once more

and hatreds gone and also war.- Jeannette

    They already do.

    That's why we're killing them.

The difference is, the people you defend actively target women and children, while using their own children as bomb/knife/gun conveyance devices.
