I was talking about people's disregard for their freedom. Clearly if people are given misinformation they cannot come to educated decisions and the US media since 9/11 has suffered from the sort of things which Snowden in addressing

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2013/jun/25/editorial-edward-snowden-history
I suspect you are completely unaware of all of this.
    http://www.democracynow.org/2013/6/24/where_is_edward_snowden_glenn_greenwald

You can take a horse to water but you cannot make it drink. You clearly have no knowledge on this subject but very arrogant. If you still cannot see the dangers there is little I can do for you.

another personal attack. I will soon be reporting you on all counts. This is not acceptable. What I would say is that left and right are not the only criteria people have. There is also libertarian or authoritarian on that I am on the side of liberty. I suspect you must be an authoritarian but nonetheless there is no reason for this rudeness. You have provided insults. I have provided information.

Your continuous insults mean that no further response will be given. Next time it will be reported - the full list. You are showing yourself up, not me.

For starters, I never ever called Ms Merkel (& whom I admire) a Nazi & much less a communist.

Read my post again but this time:

    VERY, VERY SLOWLY.

& in your words not mine:

Allow me to teach you modern day electronics 101:

A 46,523 word document (>>150 pages) takes 800kbytes of memory in Microsoft word & without getting fancy with the high end models, a cheap 900 buck laptop ($878.00 in exact numbers) with a 1tbyte hard drive has >> 58 billion words (58,153,750,000 in exact numbers) of storage

Let alone the hypocrisy of going to a totalitarian state like Communist China to expose what he called civil rights violations on Americans & BTW: giving China the information of our country’s spying on them.

    Sad.

Snowden did not reveal anything unknown. How do you think the government gets its hands on the phone calls of a suspect of a crime? You've seen calls played on the news, between a suspect and someone else. Anyone who had been paying any attention to anything wouldn't be surprised in the least.

On September 2001 our Congress approved the war powers resolution act & in it's words not mine & please note that those persons can be foreign or American citizens collaborating with my country's enemies:

That the President is authorized to use all necessary & appropriate force against those nations, organizations, ”Or persons” he determines planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, ”Or harbored" such organizations or persons,

”In order to prevent any future acts of international terrorism against the United States by such nations, organizations or persons.”

actually he hit the nail right on the head.for anyone to call him a traitor is just plain idiotic. He is a patriot exposing the government corruption going on with the NSA and in our government.anyone condemning this man is not an american.

But yeah,he is considered a traiter though by most congressmen and senators because most of them are bought off and corrupt here to serve wall street and not its citizens so I wont argue with that point for a second.

Its only a few patriots in congress like Ron Paul,Gary Johnson, and Ralph Nader who all believe in the constitution who DONT consider him a traiter.they believe in the constituion and serving the people instead of wall street.its only those rare few like that who arent corrupt who dont consider him a traiter.

I am glad you are aware of the misinformation which you were given during the Iraq war. However you ought also be aware of why that was. It clearly started happening after 9/11 when journalists started being intimidated. This has come up with respect to Snowden as I put in the post linked below.

Transit zones: A legal grey area

The Sheremetyevo airport transit area is Russian sovereign territory, but Russia says that in staying there, Edward Snowden has not formally entered the country

Legally, an arriving air passenger may be said to "cross the border" only after clearing immigration, which would require an entry visa

If Russia allowed Mr Snowden to enter, it could implicate the state in helping a fugitive, however . , analysts say
It is thought Mr Snowden may be staying at a complex of 47 basic "capsule" hotel rooms located in the transit zone

And if so reason to stop fighting it altogether ?, either the US closes its gates to immigrants and start arresting ppl of certain origin for questioning or it will have to keep an eye open on everyone, I think the latter is better.

The problem is not so much that we had a free press which was been taken over by the government but rather that we have a press that has WILLINGLY given itself over to the government.

You really have no idea how debating works, do you? You STILL have failed to show what you need to show to claim "traitor". As I said, even if it did somehow contain the "NSA treasure trove", you still lose because you have failed to show that they are our enemies. You just pick out one point that you think you can challenge, and then claim victory, even though your assertion rests on multiple points, and you must defend them all for your case to stand. But as for your response in this post, I know damn good and well what a laptop will hold, and I am certain that the NSA has many many terrabytes of data from all their spying on Americans and others. And the contents of our e-mails and facebook accounts are not likely to give aid or comfort to enemies, even if we were talking about enemies here, which we are not. So now is the time when you need to actually defend your assertions, or admit defeat.

How can he NOT be a traitor? He has stole classified documents and, due mainly to his ignorance, gave them over to our two greatest threats. He has endangered every US citizen, including you. If a member of your family is injured or worse because of Snowden's ignorance, you will be okay with that?

My son in law is in intelligence and deployed in southern Africa trying to protect people like this traitor. Now he is wondering if this TRAITOR has given his identity up.

THE MAN IS STUPID AND A TRAITOR.

& please note that contrary to your debate technique of spewing unreference bull, I give references to each & everyone of my contentions & in your words not mine:

Oh really? Read the BS you’ve spewed below to sidetrack the theme of my TP I started calling Edward Snowden a traitor

As I have written in one of my sub-tread replies above, Edward Snowden himself has said he joined that security contractor to ”Spy on the NSA” & now the SOB spewed his guts out to the communist Chinese that we were spying on them (As they are on us).

That is called treason when you consider we’ve fought against these guys in a long forgotten undeclared war that ended with a truce 60 years ago.

    My Reference: http://search.yahoo.com/search?n=10...701&p=Edward+Snowden+joined+to-spy+on+NSA&vs=

Whatever “YOU” say, it’s your opinion & you being a nobody (as well as me, for that matter), what counts is referenced facts & period.

BTW: I never wrote Communist China was our enemy per se, what I cited was a quote verbatim from Rand Paul's 180 degree turn in reply to another sub-tread that you have now taken out of context making it a LIE from you in addition to calling his statement squat, but that is your personal opinion & that is squat

Cite one single posting where I have claimed victory & if you can’t you are lying, & that in addition to all your BS above trying to sidetrack the theme of my TP to now write my assertion have multiple points. Nice try though, try again.

& in your words, you know “Squat”
    Allow me to educate you:

What the contractors massive main frame computers were doing were monitoring tens & tens of millions of daily phone calls to then establish a call pattern for further analysis & under those concepts unimportant people like you would have your calls dumped into the garbage can.

By contrast & conceivably, it would not surprise me if I was in the system because me nephew working in London married a Tunisian & last year during the height of the turmoil that started in Tunisia, it caught her vacationing in Tunisia from where she called us & we in turn called her back to Tunisia multiple times since we were worried about her.

Having written that, I in no way have the audacity to think my calls went beyond a 2nd screening before being dumped in the same garbage can & much less do I believe Edward Snowden would waste computer storage space with my calls.

    My Reference: http://search.yahoo.com/search?n=10...=million+telephone+NSA+"pattern+analysis"&vs=

Okay, now it’s your turn to defend your BS with referenced facts as I have done or admit defeat.

My guess is you will continue to sidetrack my contentions with your usual new BS you will dream up.

    Sad.

    Best Regards
    Lobato1

This entire argument fails due to the fact that these policies don't make anybody any safer. They radicalize more people and breed more terrorists.

I'm not afraid of the innocents in Gitmo. Seems the terrorists have some people scared but not me. They're not that scary. Gangbangers are worse.

If the USA federal government meant safety for the people they would invest more into dealing with the gang problem. They kill tens of thousands of innocent Americans. Even 9/11 is nothing compared to the damage the gangs have caused.

Jim claims to be worried about his son in the spy racket business. He claims Snowden betrayed the American People. Instead of whining about a guy who exposed the corruption of the USA's phoney "national security" racket, why not worry instead about the coverup of the Kennedy Assassination? Marina Oswald says, The danger of the truth not being known will destroy this nation, actually."

Worry instead about President Johnson in league with the Israelis to get the USS Liberty to be sunk so as to blame it on Egypt while he had nuclear armed bombers on their way to nuke Egypt.
Thankfully the ship didn't sink and the Russians blew his cover story.

So, long ago we fought an undeclared war with China? Damn, at least we declared the wars we fought with the British, and they are now our closest ally. This is why I say you may as well be going on about how Germany and Japan are our enemies.

And so, since you won't even go so far as to say they are our enemy "per se", how can you claim it is treason? Oh, wait, you do know the legal definition, right? More on that later...

The only reference that I need to defeat your argument is one that I shouldn't have to cite, as it SHOULD be common knowledge. But here it is anyway:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_Three_of_the_United_States_Constitution#Section_3:_Treason

Hence, your claim of treason must be backed up by showing both that Snowden gave them Aid and Comfort AND that they are, in fact, our Enemies.
