Who benefits the most from blocking the Keystone Pipeline?

We've had communists operating in America since shortly after the communist takover of Russia in 1917. If you fault McCarthy for anything, it was exploiting it for political gain. But he was right.

Oil executives benefit the most. That's clear. We need to find alternative energy sources and quit looking for more ways to depend on dinosaur bones. That's also clear. We need guaranteed fresh water supplies. That's clear. I don't want the same investors poisoning the water supply, for profit of oil, and then likely selling us fresh water too,(that many fat cats are now investing in) after they screw up the present source for profit.

 

So The Obama blocked the pipeline to help oil executives?

I agree. How about increasing our energy supply with nuclear power? With nuclear power, fossil fuels will become obsolete. Everything could be electric. We wouldn't need giant strip mines and huge coal plants burning zillions of tons of coal to provide our energy needs. This would make things like electric cars/heating affordable to the commen man.

 

Going through with the pipeline, will only generate profit for a very few; while the risks will be shouldered by mostly ALL.

You are right. And the 12,000 people who get employment in the US and the 8,000 people in Canada who get up graded job skills and jobs will only get wages and benefits.

And that's totally unnecessary now that US unemployment is getting to close to 8%.

You're incorrect. The study (which was done by TransCanada making it highly suspect as being biased) that concluded that the pipeline would create tens of thousands of jobs in America included jobs created in India and china, it also included jobs that have already been created from building other pipelines.
The study also failed to include any of the effects of oil spills and pollution.
The only independent study done on the pipeline concluded that due to oil spills and pollution the pipeline would have a net negative effect on the American economy

You'll have to wait a while because it'll never happen. OK - say fusion becomes a feasible technology and eventually could be scaled down to such small demands as individual transportation devices. I'll take a rough guess and say that it could be a possibility in around 500 to 1000 years. But a "nuke-car" would cost tens of thousands of lifetime incomes for the average wage earner at that time. Only the SUPER-RICH could possibly afford one. But there won't be any super rich in existence 500 years from now - not even any rich - maybe no wage earners at all. These will have long since been eliminated by brilliant future Progressives, employing ever new and improved versions of their highly regarded class warfare & wealth redistribution strategies. In fact, by 2611 only the ruling elite - the "DemoEcoCrats" - will even be able to afford the super-eco-friendly Flintstonemobile (see artists depiction below). By 3011 Progressive mutants will have reduced humanity to that of a few hunter-gatherers living in very energy efficient and progressive caves where they will make unintelligible but always politically correct grunts back and forth at each other - (see bottom artists depiction).

Firstly, haven't you heard that there is a $7,500.00 rebate on some electric cars? Your memory is very convenient. Secondly, even with the credits the cars are way more costly than gasoline cars. The batteries are not only very expensive when you have to replace them and you will, but the batteries are extremely dangerous. Lithium batteries can catch fire if overheated and they will burn if the lithium gets wet. I think you will see that mile per mile the electric cars will be KILLING their occupants more than gasoline cars are.

Even the Tesla super car gets a rebate.

My wife worked out the a few years ago and she had brown-outs every day or two, so you might need to get your head examined if you can't remember two years back.

Turns out Warren Buffet might be the one benifiting the most from The Obama axing the pipeline. Now Canada is going to build a pipeline to there west coast to sell oil to China. You liberal drones defending this should be ashamed.

All this pipeline does is by-pass our Mid West refineries .. Its an export pipeline to the Free Trade Zone in Texas.

They will sell and ship refined products overseas because they can get a higher priced and avoid taxes.

 

so by making them take the train we get taxes Warren Buffet pays running his railroad. So if they build it threw America, they'll sell it to China, and if they build it threw Canada, they'll sell it to China... So lets avoid making money and jobs with a pipeline threw the US... good plan
